Conference background & evolution

Reimagining the Built Environment

Beyond Blueprints, Boundaries & Conventions: Advancing Sustainable, Resilient and Digital Futures

Since its first edition in 2010, the conference, previously known as MSC, has provided a platform for academic exchange, scientific collaboration, and professional dialogue in materials, structures, and construction technology. Over the years, it has brought together researchers, academics, engineers, and industry professionals to share knowledge, present research findings, and explore emerging developments in the built environment.

In 2027, the conference enters a new chapter under the name MASCOT – the 6th International Conference on Materials, Structures and Construction Technology, scheduled for October 2027. The new name reflects the conference's continued evolution, offering a clearer representation of its core research areas while embracing the increasingly interdisciplinary nature of modern construction. This transition builds on the academic foundation established by previous MSC editions and reinforces the conference's ambition to foster broader collaboration, encourage innovation, and strengthen its international academic identity.

The Four Pillars of Research & Innovation

  • Scientific Exchange and Collaboration

Providing a forum for researchers and professionals to present their latest findings, exchange perspectives, and develop academic and professional partnerships across institutions and disciplines.

  • Advances in Materials & Structural Engineering

Exploring developments in construction materials, structural analysis and design, innovative building systems, and technologies that enhance the safety, durability, and performance of structures.

  • Innovation in Construction Technology

Examining emerging construction methods, digital technologies, intelligent engineering solutions, and advanced approaches to improving productivity, quality, and efficiency throughout the construction process.

  • Sustainability and Resilience

Promoting research and practical solutions that support resource efficiency, environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and the long-term performance of buildings and infrastructure.

Official Invitation

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite researchers, academics, engineers, and industry professionals to submit their latest research contributions to the 6th International Conference on Materials, Structures and Construction Technology (MASCOT 2027), to be held in October 2027.
